The Congregational Church of Mansfield sees itself as the hands and hearts of Christ, spreading love, joy, and peace among its members, neighbors, and wider community. Our Church is deeply rooted in holy words, and our doors are always open to community members who are looking for a quiet place to worship. We are an open and affirming church that includes everyone in its services, greeting all with warm hospitality. Blessed with church parishioners who grace our worship and meetings with good cheer, humor, and respect, we seek to extend this Christian fellowship and friendship in our community.

The Congregational Church of Mansfield’s faith life is firmly grounded in Jesus Christ, both through reflecting on scripture and through carrying out his ministry within the congregation and our community. God is described as a loving creator, shield, and friend. The Holy Spirit manifests itself as brothers and sisters in worship through song and prayer. We seek out ways to use our gifts and talents in service to God, our church, and our community. Some of how we do this:

• Providing a warm, friendly atmosphere and becoming a church family with a strong commitment to each other and our community. Everyone has an opportunity to serve the church in many different ways.

• Host several different ministries to take part in (Prayer Circle, choir, ongoing mission work with the Food Pantry and our area soup kitchen, and committee work, to name some).

• A Sunday School program that embraces many different ages and fosters friendships and caring between younger and older participants.

• We include diverse pieces of music for anthems and hymns in our worship, thanks to the musical experience and talent of our choir.

• We genuinely enjoy each other’s company and experience much laughter and fun in our worship services, meetings, coffee hours, and potlucks.
